The 110mh in going to be one of the most desired moments of this Sundays Madrid Meeting. It’ll be an electric event, as always, but it will also have the incentive of having two of the outstanding hurdlers running in front of their Spanish crowd.

The olympic medalist Orlando Ortegawill reach this Meeting in Vallehermoso Stadium after winning in the European Athletics Team Championships in Bydgoszcz, winning the doublé world silver medalist in 60mh Pascal Martinot-Lagarde. Oertega has the national record in 13.04 and this year he has been near running in 13.05 last July 5th in Lausanne.

He will have hard rivals, one of them his training partner and european 60mh champion Milan Trajkovic. But it will not be the only one because also the South African Antonio Alkana-with personal best of 13.11 and season best of 13.30- and the Jamaican Andrew Riley-13.14 and 13.33- will be threats for him. Another Spanish athlete that will not miss this Meeting is Enrique Llopis, this young Valencian has run on 13.75 this year and is suposed to be one of the outstanding national athletes in a few years.
